Haji Malang Gad is a fort near Kalyan, where the Haji Malang Dargah is situated at the lower level of the fort. Urs is a festival celebrated by the people of the Muslim community. It is an annual festival that is celebrated from six to nine days at the shrine. Urs is pronounced as उर्स.

Urs is a festival that commemorates the death anniversary of Sufi saint Malang Baba. It is a huge festival once in a year. It is celebrated in the month of February and is a tourist attraction for all.
This carnival is enjoyed at the Haji Malang Mountain that is named after the Baba. This festival at the shrine is celebrated for nine whole days. The festival starts with the unfolding of a ceremonial flag. Then a procession is carried by the devotees, who bring offerings like flowers.
The Baba’s procession (also called as Palkhi) starts from the Haji Malang Dargah, covers the entire mountain, and then comes back to the Dargah. The devotees and followers from every caste and creed attend the celebration of the procession with great passion.

This shrine that is situated at the lower level of this rocky pinnacle at Kalyan, is visited by hundreds and thousands of devotees, during the Urs festival. The shrine is said to be the tomb of respected Sufi, Baba Abdur Rehman Malang Shahm. It is also claimed by the local Hindus as a place to rest of Baba Machindranath Malang, who is a saint from the Nath Sampraday.
At the time of this carnival, the Dargah and the mountain is enlightened with fireworks and beautiful lightening. The Haji Malang Dargah is decorated with beautiful flowers. The fireworks are busted during the procession. It is captivating to watch the beautiful lightened mountain during this period.
The devotees also wish to stay during the Urs time. For their accommodation, there are a few temporary huts and small rentals, where the pilgrims can live for a while.
All you need to know about Panch Peer (Peer Machi) –
Panch Peer is situated 45 minutes to 1 hour further from the Haji Malang Dargah. This Panch Peer is nothing but the graves which are the disciples of Malang Baba. Further at this stretch is a place names “Chasma” which is also a place where the devotees visit to worship. It is believed to be the place where Baba Malang’s horse leg was touched, and the water was spouted.
